Our members are:
- Early Childhood Educators
- Cooks, Cleaners, Clerical and Administrative Staff
- Co-ordinators, Home visitors, Resource Teachers
- Integretion Advisors, Bus Attendants, Home Visitors and Assistant Teachers
Together we:
- Work in community based not for profit child care centers
- In schools, churches and federal goverment sites
- Are almost 300 hundred members
- Are front line workers caring and educating children ages 3 months to 12 years old
Our history:
- Local 2204 was founded in 1978 following a series of serious provincial cutbacks
- Has improved salaries and provided us with an effective voice in the workplace
- Remain committed to achieving a high quality, universally accessible system
